Green for go as Loch Primary flies flag
Loch Primary were a bit green-fingered recently.
The school have been awarded an eco flag for the fourth year running, showing their commitment to environmental causes.
Principal teacher Dawn Simpson was delighted at the school’s hard work being rewarded. She said: “We got the eco flag because of the work carried out over the past two years.
“We were assessed how eco-schools is both part of daily life at Loch and in the whole ethos of the school.
“The assessors were very impressed with how we have had a pupil led approach, which has allowed pupils to learn about the environment while being very involved in the whole process.
“They were also impressed with how we have transformed the school grounds and garden. Each class has had different eco responsibilities, like recycling, as well as world events like Earth Hour.”
