Parent power had overturned a proposal by South Lanarkshire Council to move primary four pupils to another school while a teaching hut was being demolished.

Residents living near a derelict property in Cathcart Road were petitioning the council to demolish the building as they considered it to be dangerous and a magnet for vandals.
