A group of S4-S6 pupils at Cathkin High have been chosen as ambassadors to represent the World of Work website.
S5 pupils Chelsea Keir, Jamie Ramsey, Chloe Mills, David Carruthers and S4 pupils Euan Kennedy, Gary Orr, Laura Ford, Lucy Gardiner and Emily Tullett became World of Work ambassadors.
The role will involve promoting the positive ethos of skills, career pathways and apprenticeships for younger pupils at Cathkin and its feeder primaries.
The group have completed two assemblies to the lower school and visited Cathkin Primary school and made up a lesson based on the world of work.
One group explored a quiz on the website and the other completed a worksheet outlining the skills needed for certain jobs.
They said the feedback from the primary school was “fantastic” and they have been invited back
Their coordinator Ms MacBain said: “I’m certain that the information received as well as the confidence that has been built in speaking in front of peers or educating the young pupils in primaries will aid these hard-working pupils greatly in future positive destinations.”
