Guilty of as­sault

A Cam­bus­lang teenager has had his guilty plea ac­cepted by the court af­ter ad­mit­ting to as­sault­ing a po­lice of­fi­cer.

Nathan O’Kane struck the con­sta­ble on the head and punched him on the body on Fe­bru­ary 14, 2016 in a marked po­lice car at Fifty Pitches Place, Glas­gow.

The 19- year- old of Langcroft Park, also ad­mit­ted to shout­ing, swear­ing and strug­gling vi­o­lently with po­lice of­fi­cers at Green­lees Road and dur­ing the course of a jour­ney within a po­lice ve­hi­cle be­tween the ad­dress, Cath­cart Po­lice Sta­tion and the Queen El­iz­a­beth Univer­sity Hos­pi­tal.

O’Kane will not be sen­tenced un­til March 6, 2018.
