Way ahead at mosque in wake of terror attacks
In the aftermath of the terrorist attack in London last month, the Reformer was invited to the Minhaj ul Quran centre in Rutherglen for an exclusive look at the work going on to turn young Muslims away from extremism.
Young people from their early teens to early 20s attend classes at the centre every Saturday.
They discuss their religion so they have a true understanding of the meaning of Islam instead of a warped one put forward by terrorists.
Imam Muhammad Babar told us: “We are giving our youngsters a true picture of Islam so they have the proper knowledge to go forward.”
