Trin­ity’s bath­room soaper­stars

Trin­ity High School pupils proved they had the po­tion for the per­fect bath when they were named win­ners of a cos­met­ics com­pe­ti­tion.

Neve Lav­ery, Mor­ven McNicol and Gi­u­liano Pi­a­cen­tini’s bath bomb took first prize at the So­ci­ety of Cos­metic Sci­en­tists’an­nual com­pe­ti­tion.

The stu­dents were among a host of S2 and S3 stu­dents who worked to­gether in groups af­ter school over sev­eral weeks to de­sign, make and test a bath bomb.

Six groups from Trin­ity High en­tered the com­pe­ti­tion and an in­cred­i­ble four teams were among the seven fi­nal­ists se­lected from across the UK.

The teams gath­ered for a fi­nal day of com­pe­ti­tion in Birm­ing­ham.

Neve, Mor­ven and Gi­u­liano, who were run­ners-up last year, se­cured the tro­phy and were re­warded with a visit to a cos­metic man­u­fac­tur­ing com­pany.

All pupils in­volved were also pre­sented with a bronze crest award.
