A Ruther­glen man who de­nied nine charges in­clud­ing po­lice as­sault, was found guilty when he ap­peared at Glas­gow Sher­iff Court.

Grant Mor­ri­son bit, kicked and scratched four po­lice con­sta­bles on Au­gust 22, 2015.

He also re­sisted, ob­structed or hin­dered po­lice of­fi­cers in the line of duty dur­ing the same in­ci­dent at a prop­erty on East Main Street, Ruther­glen.

Mor­ri­son was fur­ther found guilty of be­hav­ing in a threat­en­ing or abu­sive man­ner.

He also com­mit­ted a breach of the peace on Main Street, Ruther­glen, by shout­ing, swear­ing and con­duct­ing him­self in a dis­or­derly man­ner.

Mor­ri­son, 36, then de­nied fail­ing, with­out rea­son­able ex­cuse, to ap­pear at Glas­gow Sher­iff Court on Jan­uary 18.

He pleaded not guilty to all charges on March 24 but was found guilty and will be sen­tenced on May 2.
