Free help for those hard of hearing
Action on Hearing Loss Scotland is launching two new free monthly dropin sessions to support NHS hearing aid users in Rutherglen and Cambuslang.
The monthly Hear to Help sessions will start in the Rutherglen and Cambuslang Housing Associat i o n Office, 16 Farmeloan Road, Rutherglen, on Friday, April 21, between 2- 4pm and Cambuslang Library, 27 Main Street, on Friday, May 12, between 10.30am-12.30pm.
Volunteers who have been trained by NHS audiology will offer basic maintenance to help people get the most out of their hearing aid so that they can follow conversations with family, friends and colleagues more clearly.
Coordinator Lainey McFarlane said: “Getting used to a hearing aid can be difficult and takes time.
“Support f rom our volunteers can make the world of difference in helping people understand how to use and look after their hearing aids.
