High five for Lang
Cambuslang ......5 Lesmahagow .....0
Cambuslang Rangers rattled in five goals as they continue to do all they can to have any chance of promotion.
The home side took the lead after only seven minutes, when Jordan Morton played the ball out to Robert Halliday who whipped it into the box for John Gemmell to head home.
A couple of minutes later and the lead was almost doubled but Gemmell fired inches wide from close range.
Cambuslang were forced into an early change when Macleod had to be replaced after a knock and James Brown came on for him.
The Wee Gers grabbed a second on the half-hour mark when Dale Simeon grabbed his 21st goal of the season. He reacted quickest and pounced to squeeze the ball in at the near post.
A couple of minutes later and Simeon struck again after he linked up with Gemmell.
It was more of the same in the second half as Cambuslang dictated play and the Gow were chasing shadows.
Within a minute of the restart it was 4-0 to the Lang and game over when Simeon turned provider to set up Morton who slid the ball into the net.
The Lang were awarded a penalty when Liam Gormley was brought down inside the area but Simeon failed to net his hat-trick as the spot-kick was well saved.
Things got worse for the away side as they were reduced to 10 men after a cynical challenge on Simeon.
The sides were evened up shortly after though when Halliday was also shown a straight red before Kris Gebbie nodded home the fifth on 90 minutes.
