Blade and drugs case

Al­leged pos­ses­sion of scis­sors and drugs landed one Ruther­glen woman in court this week.

Lynn Mone is ac­cused of car­ry­ing a blade, or sharply pointed item, with­out rea­son­able ex­cuse or law­ful author­ity on Stonelaw Road on June 6, 2016.

The 46-year-old is also charged with be­ing in pos­ses­sion of ec­stasy, a class A drug, on the same date.

She is fur­ther said to have been on bail dur­ing the al­leged of­fences.

Mone, of Princes Gate, de­nied all charges against her when she ap­peared at Glas­gow Sher­iff Court on April 6.

She will stand trial on May 8.
