Robbie’s Bafta nod
Rutherglen actor Robbie Coltrane has been nominated for a Bafta award.
The star was selected because of his work in last year’s Channel 4 drama ‘National Treasure’.
The programme, in which he played a former comedy star accused of historic sex crimes, was also nominated for best mini-series.
Robbie – real name Robert McMillan – grew up in the Royal Burgh.
His father Ian was a surgeon and his mother Jean was a teacher and a pianist.
