Ar­rest war­rant granted

An ar­rest war­rant has been is­sued for a Cam­bus­lang man who failed to ap­pear when called at Glas­gow Sher­iff Court.

James Lau­rie of Howieshill Road was, on April 6, due to an­swer a charge of be­hav­ing in a threat­en­ing man­ner.

He is ac­cused of re­peat­edly shout­ing, swear­ing, ut­ter­ing threats of vi­o­lence, re­peat­edly strik­ing his head against the win­dow of a po­lice ve­hi­cle and ut­ter­ing racial and sec­tar­ian re­marks.

The al­leged in­ci­dent took place on De­cem­ber 3, 2016 in a po­lice car en route to Cath­cart Po­lice Of­fice, while Lau­rie had been bailed on an­other al­leged of­fence.

The Crown ar­gues the of­fence was racially and re­li­giously ag­gra­vated.
