Teen allegedly threw away pill

Rutherglen Reformer - - News -

A teenager who allegedly threw away an ecstasy tablet when approached by police officers has been charged with three offences.

The 17-year-old was on Ardencraig Road in Castlemilk on April 2, 2016, when he is said to have thrown a small bag containing a capsule tablet on the ground.

He has since been charged with possession of a class A drug and obstructing police officers in the line of duty.

A third charge alleges the youth was also drinking alcohol in a public place, prohibited by Glasgow City Council bylaws.

He will return to stand trial on March 5.
