League race heats up
Super First Division Kilsyth Rangers and Shettleston both gained victories to enhance their hopes of winning the Super First Division. The Gers, who lead the way at the top on goal difference, came back from two goals down against Renfrew to win 3-2. Shettleston hammered Maryhill 5-1 while Glencairn’s next opponents, Irvine Victoria, bagged three points away to Blantyre in a 2-1 victory. Clydebank kept their promotion hopes alive with a 3-0 win over Cumbernauld and Yoker edged Shotts 1-0. Central District First Wishaw threw away a three-goal lead to draw 3-3 away to St Roch’s. Larkhall also gainmed ground on Cambuslang at the top with a 3-0 victory over Bellshill . Forth, who face The Lang on Saturday, also won 3-0 at home to Neilston while Lesmahagow earned a 2-1 win away to Greenock. Thorniewood and Rossvale played out a 1-1 draw and Vale of Clyde defeated Johnstone Burgh 3-1.
