Man as­saulted while wait­ing on bus

A 29-year-old man was as­saulted in broad day­light in Cam­bus­lang while he waited on a bus.

The man was at the bus stop near 220 Hamil­ton Road when he was ap­proached by two males at around 3pm on Sun­day, April 23.

Both males as­saulted the vic­tim by kick­ing him on the head and body be­fore mak­ing off in the di­rec­tion of Mill Road, Cam­bus­lang. The vic­tim was taken to Hairmyres Hospi­tal where he re­ceived treat­ment for mi­nor cuts and swelling.

The first male sus­pect is de­scribed as 30-35 years of age, 6ft in height, mus­cu­lar build, wear­ing a light blue hooded top, track­suit bot­toms and white train­ers.

The sec­ond male sus­pect is de­scribed as 30-35 years of age, 6ft, mus­cu­lar build, wear­ing a grey hooded top, track­suit bot­toms and white train­ers.
