Spring gar­den saleat Scouts

Green fin­gered res­i­dents will have a chance to buy plants for their gar­dens on the morn­ing of Satur­day, May 6.

The 113th (Burn­side) Scout Group are hold­ing their an­nual plant sale and cof­fee morn­ing on that date.

The sale, which will be held in the Scout Hall, Craw­furd Road, Burn­side, will be open from 10am un­til 1pm for cus­tomers wish­ing to buy plants.

There will be plenty of bed­ding plants, bushes and ar­range­ments on sale to en­hance any gar­den, as well as a book­stall and tea room.

Group com­mit­tee mem­ber Jim Bolton said: “This is our an­nual plant sale and is ea­gerly awaited by gar­den­ers in the lo­cal com­mu­nity.

“It comes at a time when, hope­fully, the prob­lems of frost have gone and gar­dens are ready to be filled up with plants for the sum­mer.

“All our plants are rea­son­ably priced and should suit all pock­ets.

“As well as sell­ing plants we would wel­come any dona­tions from friends to sell and wel­come dona­tions of home bak­ing and sweets for the tea­room and cake and candy stall.”
