QP blown away by ruthless Livi
But Spiders still in play-off battle
waved away when Brady’s drive appeared to strike a defender’s arm.
Gus MacPherson was then sent to the stand after he complained about a crunching challenge on Mitchell. Instead of letting the physio come on to treat him, Mitchell was ordered to crawl to the touchline.
MacPherson probably had not even reached a seat before his team were a goal down. A long punt tempted Muir off his line, but Todorov poked out a long leg before the keeper got there and then rolled the ball into the empty net.
Queen’s responded well and Zanatta’s scuffed shot struck the woodwork before half time.
Maley again foiled the visitors early in the second half, this time turning away Mitchell’s drive.
The injured Gavin was then replaced by McIlduff and Ewan MacPherson came on for Cameron Foy. Orsi was then thrown on for Burns but soon after Livi broke Queen’s hearts with a second. McGeever failed to deal properly with a high ball and when it bounced to Mullen, he hooked it over his head and into the net.
The goal knocked the stuffing out of Queen’s as ruthless Livi picked Queen’s off twice, through Mullin and Cadden, although the final goal looked offside.
