Accusedof carrying as word

A Rutherglen man will stand trial this month accused of carrying a sword.

Alexander Logue has been charged with carrying the offensive weapon on Mill Street on May 22, 2016.

The 27-year-old is also accused of assaulting a man by punching him on the head during a disturbance on Main Street on the same date.

Logue denied both charges against him when he appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court on April 18. He will return for trial on May 16.
