I am Brian Finlay, a mature student, completing in the next few weeks my BA (Hons) in HRM, at the University of Stirling.
I live in Rutherglen with my partner and I am proud to have the opportunity to represent the Scottish Green Party in the upcoming election.
I am motivated politically to push back against the heartless austerity regime of the UK Government. I stand up for the Scottish Green Party’s core values of inclusion; environmental sustainability; decentralisation of power and strive for an equal society.
As well as an active Scottish Green Party member I am also a member of the Scottish Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament.
I was motivated to stand to scrutinise budgets that could affect the vulnerable and defend public services and possessions. These are constantly at risk from privatisation or being sold off for the benefit of the few; they should benefit us all.
