Rutherglen Reformer - - Ward 14: Cambuslang East -

I am a final year law student (LLB Hons) at The University of Strathclyde and currently volunteer at Rutherglen and Cambuslang Citizen’s Advice Bureau. I live in Newton Farm with my partner.

By standing as a local council candidate for Cambuslang East, I hope to provide the local community with an alternative voice to governance while standing up for the very issues that affect you and your neighbours.

I will increase awareness about the what community and social services are available to you and will fight to bring a more ‘local’ approach to their delivery, in order to ensure there is always a framework of support and help available.

I believe it is important to ensure social services, such as healthcare and schools, remain public and local. It is vital that these are not contracted to profit driven groups who fail to understand the needs of our community.
