Stuart Gallacher

Stuart was born and educated in Hamilton before joining TSB Scotland as a management trainee. He worked throughout South Lanarkshire, including Rutherglen and Cambuslang.

After 17 years with the bank, he sought a fresh challenge and joined Moray Council. This is where he first understood the positive difference the council can make to its residents. Stuart continued his work in local government with Glasgow City Council and South Lanarkshire Council.

It was his ambition to continue public sector work whilst upholding his Labour values.

Serving as Hamilton South’s councillor over the past four years has given him the opportunity to fight for the best interests of the community. The experience and knowledge he has gained over the past 20 years will allow him to serve the people of Cambuslang East and fight for much needed services in the area.
