A Cambuslang man has had his trial continued after he was charged with driving dangerously on Scotland’s busiest motorway

Alan Frank Fotheringham, 45, is alleged to have failed to keep proper control of a lorry on the M8 between junctions 18 and 15 on May 21, 2016.

The Logan Tower resident is accused of weaving between lanes, changing lanes without indicating and causing the driver of another vehicle to brake to avoid a collision.

Fotheringham, who was also charged with removing both his hands from the steering wheel while his vehicle was in motion, will stand trial for the offences on May 23.
