A new trial date has been set for a man charged with drink driv­ing.

David Robert Bell is al­leged to have con­sumed so much al­co­hol that the pro­por­tion of it in his breath was 73 mi­cro­grammes of al­co­hol in 100 millil­itres of breath. The pre­scribed limit how­ever, is 22 mi­cro­grammes of al­co­hol in 100 millil­itres of breath.

The 37-year-old of Castlemilk Drive, Glas­gow, was fur­ther charged for fail­ing to stop his ve­hi­cle when he was re­quired to do so by a po­lice of­fi­cer on Croft­foot Quad­rant on Au­gust 21, 2016.

He is due to stand trial at Glas­gow Sheriff Court on May 23 after a new date was agreed last month.
