Cambuslang Allotment Gardens held an open day at their base in the Eva Burrows Centre.

The group had recently received an award from the Postcode Lottery and were keen to show off what they had done with the money.

Secretary of the group, Gillian Cahill, said: “It was a great day. The children had a ball and got to plant some flowers and seeds.”

The group actually have a waiting list for members. They also run tutorials and will take a stall at next month’s Summerfest celebrations.
