Re­fresh is a new ven­ture be­ing launched at Croft­foot Par­ish Church from this Fri­day, May 12.

Run­ning ev­ery Fri­day from 2-4pm, Re­fresh will have a num­ber of ac­tiv­i­ties for peo­ple to par­tic­i­pate in, from hand mas­sage to play­ing pool, and with op­por­tu­ni­ties to re­ceive

spir­i­tual read­ings and prayer for any need - in­clud­ing heal­ing.

Tea and cof­fee will be served and peo­ple can drop in at any time.

Every­thing is free of charge and all are most wel­come. Fern­hill and Cathkin Church have started a knit and nat­ter­ing class that will be held ev­ery Thurs­day.

It will run from 10am un­til noon and all are wel­come to at­tend. Tea will be pro­vided. Stu­dio 32 Con­cert Party from East Kil­bride are mak­ing a wel­come re­turn to the church on Fri­day, June 2 at 7.30pm.

Tick­ets are £5 per adult and £2.50 for chil­dren, and light re­fresh­ments are in­cluded.

All are wel­come to come along for a won­der­ful mu­si­cal evening.

Fern­hill and Cathkin Church’s Tues­day tea room is open each week from 9.30- 11.30am.

The Fit­ness Fol­lies keep fit class led by Myra Kerr meets ev­ery Wed­nes­day at 10.30am. Croft­foot United Free Church hold T In The Croft ev­ery Fri­day from 10am un­til noon.

They also hold Lunch at the Croft on the first Fri­day of the month from 11.30am-1.30pm.

En­try is £1.50. St Bride’s Church have raised £1,425 over the pe­riod of Lent.

The money was raised by ask­ing parish­ioners to spon­sor whether or not Fa­ther Paul Mor­ton should shave off his beard.

The fi­nal de­ci­sion was in favour of shav­ing it off.

The St Bride’s Bi­ble Study Group meet ev­ery Thurs­day night at the St Bride’s Par­ish House at 7pm, all wel­come. Stonelaw Church’s Cafe @The Meet­ing Place is open Mon­day to Satur­day from 10.30am-2.30pm.

Tea and cof­fee is avail­able, along with home bak­ing and a sec­ond-hand book stall.

Stonelaw Church holds 30-minute ser­vices in the Meet­ing Place on the first Wed­nes­day of ev­ery month at 2pm. Ruther­glen’s Sal­va­tion Army have a host of events go­ing on, in­clud­ing tod­dler groups, the jam club and singing groups.
