Driver’s ontrial forchaos
A 28-year-old man is alleged to have caused chaos in his vehicle while driving on a road in Rutherglen without proper van insurance.
James Donlon of King’s Park Avenue, is claimed to have collided with a vehicle and caused the driver and passenger injury whilst alleged to have been under the influence of alcohol on June 25, 2016.
He was charged with entering a lane on Fernhill Road and driving aggressively at unsafe distances while flashing his lights at the driver in front of him.
Donlon, who was believed to have been on bail at the time of the incident, is also alleged to have had 96 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. This exceeded the limit of 22 microgrammes in 100 millilitres of breath.
He is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on May 25 for trial.
