Gill and Ross raise funds for MS Scotland
She added: “The more funding for research the better, and also you know that the money raised will go towards helping people who have the condition right now.
“It’s good to raise awareness about MS too. We had a lot of family and friends who donated to our JustGiving page, and with things like Twitter and Facebook you can get the word out easier.”
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a condition of the central nervous system.
In MS, the coating around nerve fibres (called myelin) is damaged, causing a range of symptoms.
More than 100,000 people in the UK have MS and symptoms usually start when someone is in their 20s or 30s and it affects almost three times as many women as men.
Gill is keen to fundraise more in the future, but she’s less convinced about going off the ground again.
She said: “Ross has already been speaking about doing something else.
“I’m not sure about another zipline challenge, but I did say the only way I would ever consider it would be if it was for charity again.”
