Man charged with having blade at door
A Castlemilk woman has been accused of kicking a man on the head and body at Rutherglen Main Street.
Teresa McConville, 51, is due to appear at court on June 6, for the incident which is claimed to have taken place on April 26, 2015.
The Stravanan Gardens resident was on bail at the time of the alleged assault. A Toryglen man answered the door to police officers while in possession of a knife, a court heard.
John Duffy was charged with repeatedly shouting and swearing and also attending the front door of his home with the weapon at Curtis Avenue on July 29, 2016.
He is due to stand trial for the offence at Glasgow Sheriff Court on June 6. A drink driver from Rutherglen has been disqualified and fined.
Richard Austin, of Buckingham Drive, admitted to driving on Westburn Drive while four times the legal alcohol limit.
The 34-year-old had 87 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath when he was tested by police on April 4. The legal limit is 22.
Austin had his guilty plea accepted when he appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court last month and was fined £575 and disqualified from driving for 16 months.
