A Rutherglen teenager has been accused of attempting to spit on police officers on New Year’s Day.
Connor Brock, 19, is claimed to have shouted, swore, uttered threats of violence and acted in an aggressive manner at Bute Road on January 1, 2016.
He is further charged with assaulting a sergeant in the execution of his duty, by attempting to spit on him.
Brock, of Bute Road, is also accused of attempting to strike a police constable on the body and spitting on him.
The teenager, who will stand trial on September 27, is also claimed to have made off from the officers once they informed him he was being arrested, struggled with him and tensed his body to avoid being handcuffed.
