Make surekids don’tlose their­bite

A Cam­bus­lang den­tal prac­tice wants to make sure chil­dren do not lose their bite.

Com­plete Den­tal Care will host a Childsmile open day on Thurs­day, June 15.

Childsmile is a national pro­gramme to im­prove chil­dren’s oral health and tackle oral health in­equal­i­ties.

It is hoped the event will see chil­dren and their par­ents reg­is­ter and sign up to the Childsmile pro­gramme.

The event comes at a time de­cay rates among Chil­dren in Scot­land are wor­ry­ingly high.

As well as ad­vice, hints and tips on how to keep kids’ teeth free from de­cay, a host of ac­tiv­i­ties will be on of­fer.

These in­clude: face paint­ing, glit­ter tat­toos, fruit ke­bab mak­ing, com­pe­ti­tions with great prizes, food sam­pling and free bal­loons.

All chil­dren will re­ceive a free goodie bag.

A raf­fle will also take place with pro­ceeds go­ing to Glas­gow Chil­dren’s Hos­pi­tal.

The event will take place across two ses­sions. The first from 10.30am to 12.30pm and the sec­ond from 3-5pm.
