Paton meets some of the Grease cast

Grease was the word for a King’s Park teenager recently.

Paton Hinde, of Holyrood Secondary, had played the lead role of Sandy in her school’s production of Grease two years ago.

With a touring production of the hit musical in Glasgow at the King’s Theatre, Paton and fellow Holyrood pupil Jack Gray had the chance to meet three of the stars of the show – Castlemilk actor Gary Lamont (Teen Angel), Tom Parker (Danny) and Danielle Hope (Sandy).

The school’s very own Holyrood Diner made for the perfect backdrop for the photo shoot.

Paton, 17, hopes to study drama once she leaves school and she was delighted to pick up a few tips.

She said:“It was an amazing experience and a great opportunity especially as I want to do drama so it’s good to understand the profession.

“Danielle Hope gave me some tips on how to pose for the camera so that was a good help.”

However the teenager admitted she was a big fan of Tom’s former career in boyband the Wanted and had to avoid getting carried away.

She added:“I was a major fan of The Wanted so I had to play it cool.”
