Rutherglen Reformer - - Memory Lane -

Clubs in Rutherglen and Cambuslang issued a grim warning to South Lanarkshire Council, saying that cutbacks in school hall letting were‘ripping the heart out of the community’.

Disgusted visitors to Rutherglen cemetery called for action to stop vandals and thieves turning a council owned house in the grounds into an eyesore.

Overcrowding problems at West Coats Primary meant that the future of the Cambuslang school was being closely looked at.

A Reformer investigation showed that money raised by local charity collectors was not going towards the actual charities.

Cambuslang Rangers drew 1-1 with Lanark, a result that kept the Lang’s very slim promotion hopes alive.
