Breath test bother
A driver who allegedly refused to undergo a breathalyser test when asked by police will appear in court on Tuesday.
Barry Mitchell is accused of failing to provide two specimens of breath for analysis at Cathcart Police Office on November 8, 2015.
The specimens were needed in order to assess Mitchell’s ability to drive and the proportion of alcohol in his breath on November 7, 2015 at Newton Railway Station.
Mitchell is further accused of driving a car without a valid MOT certificate at the station on the same date.
The 38-year-old, of Maple Crescent, Cambuslang, denies both charges and will return to court for an intermediate trial diet on June 13.
