Pay­back or­der­for kick­ing po­lice of­fi­cer

Kick­ing a cop and mak­ing ho­mo­pho­bic re­marks while be­ing taken to a po­lice sta­tion landed a young Cam­bus­lang woman with a com­mu­nity pay­back or­der.

Francesca Burns, 21, pleaded guilty to kick­ing a male of­fi­cer on the body at a prop­erty in East Kil­bride on April 25.

Burns also ad­mit­ted to a threat­en­ing be­hav­iour charge ag­gra­vated by abuse of her part­ner/ex-part­ner.

She caused her vic­tim fear and alarm by shout­ing, swear­ing and mak­ing threats of vi­o­lence and act­ing ag­gres­sively at the East Kil­bride ad­dress and on the course of a jour­ney to Cath­cart Po­lice Of­fice.

Burns, of McIver Street, pled guilty to a fur­ther charge of threat­en­ing be­hav­iour ag­gra­vated by prej­u­dice re­lat­ing to sex­ual ori­en­ta­tion.

She had shouted, swore and made of­fen­sive re­marks.

Burns was given an 18-month su­per­vi­sion and con­duct or­der and or­dered to com­plete 80 hours of un­paid work within six months.
