Be on your avant-garde... it’s the Met Ball

Rutherglen Reformer - - The Powder Room -

I love seeing the outfits from the iconic Met Ball , a fundraising event for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute in NYC.

And when the dress code is “Avant-garde”you can expect some interesting outfits.

But every year guests seem to take ittothenextlevel. Someliketogoall out. Did you see Katy Perry?

Others opt to show as much flesh as possible, but my favourites are always the ones that keep it classy.

This year I thought Lily-Rose Depp was a vision of style and elegance in a shocking pink Chanel gown, with swept back hair and natural make up. TheChanelmodel islucky inheriting the genes of Johhny Depp and Vanessa Paradis.

Kim Kardashian was striking in her white figure huggingVivienne Westwood . With her sharp, glossy bob and gorgeous bronze make up, she looked incredible.

But my favourite was Gisele Bundchen who wore a slinky, open back silver gown with a train.

She teamed it with a high ponytail and fresh natural make up.

A great example of letting one feature do the talking and not going OTT on everything all at once.

Simply stunning.
