War­rant is granted

An ar­rest war­rant has been granted for a Ruther­glen man ac­cused of re­peat­edly kick­ing a door on the town’s Main Street and hin­der­ing po­lice of­fi­cers.

Michael Mur­ray is ac­cused of be­hav­ing in a threat­en­ing or abu­sive man­ner by shout­ing and swear­ing at the ad­dress on May 3, last year.

He was fur­ther charged with re­peat­edly pulling away from two con­sta­bles, mak­ing his body a dead weight and lash­ing out with his legs in an at­tempt to re­sist ar­rest.

The 31-year-old, of Green­hill Court, was due to ap­pear at Glas­gow Sher­iff Court on May 24 but a war­rant has now been is­sued for his ar­rest.
