Cup­fi­nal charge

A Cam­bus­lang man will stand trial for ac­cu­sa­tions against him claim­ing he en­tered the field of play af­ter the 2016 Scot­tish Cup fi­nal and shouted at a Rangers player.

Michael Glen de­nied ap­proach­ing the man and ges­tic­u­lated in an ag­gres­sive man­ner to­wards him on May 21 at the match be­tween the Glas­gow team and Hiber­nian at Ham­p­den Park.

The 35-year-old man, of Hamil­ton Road, is also al­leged to have re­peat­edly ges­tic­u­lated to other sup­port­ers of the op­pos­ing team and chal­lenged them to a fight.

Glen de­nies the charges against him and will stand trial at Glas­gow Sher­iff Court on June 21.
