Summerfest will once again be top of the pops this Saturday with music of two of the world’s biggest singers set to entertain the crowd.

Organisers revealed this week that tribute acts to Rihanna and Justin Bieber will rock the main stage on Saturday.

Residents will be able to dance along to hits such Work, Umbrella, We found Love and Only Girl when Rihanna Reloaded performs.

Paying homage to the Barbadian beauty, Rihanna Reloaded is described as the most accurate tribute to the pop star.

The show, featuring songs from singer’s seven albums, will include professionals and begin at 12.50pm.

It will be followed by the Justin Bieber Experience, the world biggest male star of the moment.

Dubbed “the closest thing to the real Bieber this side of the Atlantic,” the singer is actually based in Glasgow.

Cambuslang teens will be able to join in on tunes such as Sorry, Love Yourself, What Do You Mean and Baby when the Bieber tribute act performs at 1.30pm.

Also paying a visit to the stage are musicians Scott Wallace and Big Stevie Grassie.

Other editions to this year’s event include a children’s corner with games and a coconut shy, whilst the Bucking bronco is also making a return

Summerfest committee chairman, John Edgar said: “Rihanna Reloaded and Justin Bieber will be there, but we are also doing a magic show for the kids and a specially fun area. There’s a guy doing giant bubbles and there will be free face painting, toys and fresh fruit.

“We got funding from the Lottery for the children’s arts and crafts area so that’s something different as well.”

All activities at Summerfest cost £1 except for the children’s play area which will cost £2. The £2 fee ensures children can enter the play area as many times as they want throughout the day.
