Hibs chief reunites ‘handsome boy’ George with his owner
The chief executive of one of Scotland’s biggest football clubs came to the rescue when she found a lost dog in Cambuslang.
Hibernian Football Club’s Leeann Dempster found George the Staffordshire bull terrier-type mutt in the town on the afternoon of May 27.
She took him into her car and posted a picture of the dog on social media in a bid to trace its owner.
Leeann wrote:“For my friends based in the west. Please share this as I’ve just found this handsome chap. He is obviously well looked after and just lost. If he is yours, then I am happy to have helped. Lovely natured boy.”
Leeann, 46, who was heartbroken when she lost her own dog Benji in November, tweeted later:“Reunited with his owners - his name is George. Grand name for a handsome boy like him.”
Found George was returned safely to his owner
