Rutherglen Reformer - - Reformer View -

There were words of warning for the new South Lanarkshire Council leader this week.

John Ross has vowed to tackle the issues that are important to communities in Rutherglen and Cambuslang.

But as soon as the news reached the Reformer’s Facebook page readers were keen to have their voices heard.

“First on the agenda needs to be sufficient parking in Cambuslang to relieve the congested areas around train station and parking to allow people to use the Main Street shops.”- David Lindsay

“Please sort Cambuslang Main Street out or it will get the carbuncle award as the most dreary Main Street in Scotland, also sort the shambles that is the parking.” - Iain Barton

“I t will turn out to be new bins or something cheap to keep people happy , or another cycle path maybe ?” - Garry Stewart
