Man to stand trial for po­lice as­sault

The trial of a Castlemilk cou­ple who al­legedly as­saulted po­lice of­fi­cers at their home has been ad­journed.

Iain Carmichael , 39, is said to have punched and kicked two po­lice con­sta­bles on the head and body and strug­gled vi­o­lently with them on Oc­to­ber 7, 2015.

Ms Carmichael, 33, mean­while, was charged with punch­ing them on the body at their home on Scar­rel Gar­dens, Glas­gow.

Mr Carmichael, who is ac­cused of act­ing in an ag­gres­sive man­ner, shout­ing, swear­ing and ut­ter­ing threats of vi­o­lence, is due to join his co-ac­cused in the dock at Glas­gow Sher­iff Court on Au­gust 28 af­ter it was ad­journed on June 13.
