Cathkin pupils tackle modern master
A group of first year pupils from Cathkin High School took a break from the normal curriculum to create a large painting in the style of the artist Jackson Pollock.
Nova Cameron, Declan Ferguson, Tai Gastasab, William Gray, Evan Mcdonald and Julia Monteith created the work the same way as Pollock famously did.
They laid the canvas on the floor and walked round it while throwing and squirting paint onto it.
The finished work is two metres long.
Teachers said the pupils did well to control the paint, keep the work symmetrical and not make a mess of the classroom.
