Pair go the extra mile in memory of pal
A Rutherglen man has been remembered by one of his pals who completed the Edinburgh half marathon in his honour.
Gordon MacDuff was only 43-years-old when he collapsed and died of a heart attack when out for a Saturday morning run on King’s Park Avenue in February 2014.
His family have been raising money in his honour since and his friend and former teammate at Rutherglen Amateurs, Scott Crawford, decided to do his bit.
He and pal Michael Jamieson took part in the 13-mile run to raise money for the British Heart Foundation. So far the duo have raised £1,247. Gordon’s widow, Heather, and daughters Aimee,8, and Chloe, 5, extended their thanks to the pair for their efforts.
