Durie’s Boxing Club secretary Mark Reilly has stepped down from his role after seven years.

Mark, who was also a boxing judge and referee, was presented with a trophy, card and gift as he said his goodbyes last week.

Before he left, he had a chance to speak to and advise Durie’s next club secretary, Jacqueline Evans.

Head coach Archie Durie hailed Mark’s contribution to the Rutherglen club.

He said: “Seven years Mark has helped out at the club voluntarily and became a firm friend along the way.

“Thank you Mark from all connected to our club.”

He added:“The pieces in the Durie’s jigsaw puzzle are coming together and the atmosphere has been brilliant as usual.”

The boxing season is expected to resume in September.

Thank you Mark Reilly stands with his gifted trophy, and the Durie’s BC team
