Sher­iff de­fers sen­tence

A man con­victed of ex­pos­ing his pe­nis in a pub­lic place has un­til next year to prove he can be of good be­hav­iour.

Last month, Fred­er­ick Hal­l­i­day ad­mit­ted com­mit­ting the act of pub­lic in­de­cency in Mother­well’s Bell­shill Road on May 28 last year.

He also pleaded guilty to giv­ing po­lice of­fi­cers a fake name and in­tend­ing to per­vert the course of jus­tice.

Hal­l­i­day, 26, ap­peared at Hamil­ton Sher­iff Court last Thurs­day for sen­tenc­ing on the mat­ter.

How­ever, Sher­iff David Bicket de­cided to de­fer sen­tence on Hal­l­i­day, of Over­lee Av­enue, Ruther­glen, un­til July 19 next year in or­der for him to prove he could be of good be­hav­iour.
