Castlemilk man Charles Baillie has pleaded guilty to failing to appear when called at Glasgow Sheriff Court.
But he maintains his innocence over his initial charge of behaving in a threatening and abusive manner.
The 66-year-old is alleged to have made racially offensive comments at an address at Scarrel Drive, Glasgow, on October 5, 2016.
He pleaded not guilty to the charge when he appeared in court on July 26, when he tendered a guilty plea for failing to attend an earlier hearing on March 20. Baillie, of Dougrie Place, will be sentenced on August 23.
