Rutherglen Reformer - - News - Jonathan Geddes

A tribute to one of the greatest singers of all time will be coming to Rutherglen Town Hall on Thursday, September 14.

The Luther Vandross Experience will recreate the distinctive sound and voice of the man who enjoyed hits with ‘Never Too Much’, ‘Any Love’, ‘I Can Make It Better’ and ‘For You To Love’.

Danny Clay will perform a set based around the singer’s gigs at Wembley Stadium.

Danny’s own story is remarkable, as he spent 13 years in prison, during which time he taught himself to sing and styled his voice around Luther Vandross.

Shortly after being released from jail Danny called the Steve Harvey radio show in America and performed a medley of Luther songs, blowing away those listening and kickstarting his singing career. Tickets are priced at £15. They can be purchased at www.sllcboxoffice.co.uk, by calling 0141 613 5700 or by going to the venue in person.

The show will start at 7.30pm.
