Guide Robyn has a lot of bot­tle

A Ruther­glen Girl Guide has col­lected 100 bot­tles of sham­poo for her lo­cal food bank.

Robyn Reilly, a mem­ber of 1st Ruther­glen Guide Ranger Divi­sion, was set the chal­lenge of col­lect­ing 100 items for a char­ity as part of the divi­sion’s 100th an­niver­sary cel­e­bra­tions.

Robyn took to the task with en­thu­si­asm and set her­self the goal of col­lect­ing 100 bot­tles and do­nat­ing them to the Ruther­glen and Cambuslang Food­bank. On Fri­day Robyn, from Burn­side, as­sisted by her dad, ar­rived at the food bank in Cambuslang Bap­tist Church with her 100 bot­tles.

Ian Robert­son of the food bank said:“There was so much sham­poo that Cambuslang were able to add to their shelves and then pass on the rest to Ruther­glen and West Whit­law­burn. Well done to Robyn and all the other se­nior guides in their char­ity col­lec­tions.”
