Particip8 Overton hailed their “best ever” family fun day as hundreds of locals came out to enjoy the event.

The stalls were packed while youngsters – as well as those who are young at heart – enjoyed many of the activities on offer.

There were pony rides and a petting zoo while Camglen Radio’s Davie Wilson compered the event. Games and sports also took place with the army cadets organising tug o’ war and sumo wrestling.

Crucially, the weather stayed mainly dry – meaning the event could stay outdoors.

Particp8 secretary Jim Walker estimated that up to 300 people attended throughout the day.

He added: “It was a great day. Certainly in my time it was the best one yet.”
