Survey is not right
Our story about customer satisfaction with ScotRail in Rutherglen and Cambuslang provoked plenty of debate on our social media sites.
Here is what you had to say: “I find the results astonishing and would need to question the sample surveyed. Services through Rutherglen and Cambuslang are dire. Almost daily delays and cancellations due to ‘signalling problems’. Packed, uncomfortable trains at peak times when you pay top dollar.”– Gerard Keegan
“I‘m not expecting terrible results and from experience the staff I’ve came across are very helpful and hardworking but this doesn’t add up. I had to use the train for a few days recently when my car was out of action and on nearly every occasion the train was delayed, cancelled and the carriages were at bursting point. I’m sure the survey sample may have been selected‘ carefully’ for spin purposes.”– Stephen Allan.
“Totally agree, I’m forever making online complaints because of station skipping (which was in the press that they would no longer do); especially stations after Central as they don’t seem to care after that, but nothing ever changes.”– Jennifer Adams.
“Think it’s a great service, the staff at Newton station are always nice and cheery.”– Helen Drummond.
“Constant delays, cancellations, very over crowded trains especially in rush hour. Not enough carriages putting passengers at risk.”- Kevin Duffy.
“Train this morning at 8.30ish from Larkhall through Cambuslang into town – couldn’t get moving. Passengers crammed into aisles and the colleges/ universities/schools still off. They are always late/ cancelled and crammed at peak times.”– Gail Maxwell
“Survey is a pile of nonsense. I travel daily Rutherglen to Bellshill. Must be one of the worst journeys for delays or cancellations.” – Bryan Duncan.
